What is Drive Mad?
Drive Mad is a physics-based driving game created by indie developer Martin Magni, the mind behind the Fancade platform. The premise is laughably simple: drive your vehicle to the finish line without flipping over. The execution is anything but. Across 100 to 125+ levels, you are handed an increasingly absurd parade of vehicles — monster trucks, excavators, forklifts, jet planes, cranes, and wobbly trailers — and asked to navigate them through obstacle courses that seem designed by someone who genuinely wants you to fail.

Two Buttons, Infinite Chaos
Drive Mad uses only two controls: accelerate and brake. There is no steering wheel. The vehicle tilts and bounces based on physics alone — your job is to manage throttle and brake to keep it upright. Too much speed on a ramp and you backflip. Too little and you do not clear the gap. A quick tap of reverse mid-air levels your vehicle for a four-wheel landing. The simplicity of the controls belies the depth of the physics, and mastering the feel of each vehicle is a skill that develops over dozens of crashes.
Every level gives you a different vehicle. One moment you are bouncing a monster truck over seesaw bridges. The next you are trying to keep a top-heavy excavator from tipping on a narrow beam. Then you are somehow driving a jet plane along the ground, its awkward wheelbase making every ramp a potential disaster. You never settle into a rhythm because the vehicle keeps changing, and adapting to each new handling profile is the core challenge.

Obstacles, Instant Restart, and the 'One More Try' Loop
Levels are packed with hazards: steep ramps, crumbling platforms, swinging hammers, spinning traps, wobbly bridges, moving platforms, loops, and corkscrews. Each level must be beaten to unlock the next — no skipping. Some levels will take ten, twenty, or more attempts to clear. But restart is instant. Press R and you are back at the start before the frustration even registers. That instant reset turns every failure into a learning opportunity rather than a punishment.
The game is 100% free with no paywalls — all 125 levels, all vehicles, nothing locked. Originally a mini-game inside Martin Magni's Fancade app, Drive Mad became so popular it was spun off into a standalone web game and mobile apps. It works in any browser with no download required.
How to Play Drive Mad
